A ranking member of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) in Isabela vowed to support the Liberal Party tandem of Mar Roxas and Leni Robredo.
In a radio interview on March 17, 2016, NPC provincial chairman and Isabela governor Faustino “Bojie” Dy III said the reforms brought about by Pres. Benigno Aquino III should continue.
Dy joined Robredo in a radio interview before they attended an event celebrating International Women’s Month in Cauayan.
He said the current administration has given assistance to the province especially in terms of agriculture.
Dy said Pres. Aquino endorsed $22 million worth of irrigation project that would provide water to 14,000 hectares of rice fields.
Dy had also endorsed the candidacy of NPC-backed tandem Sen. Grace Poe and Chiz Escudero.
Meanwhile, Dy had not expressed support for the United Nationalist Alliance standard bearer Jejomar Binay, whose Ibanag roots trace back to Cabagan, Isabela.
The Dys have dominated Isabela local posts as a political dynasty.
