Imee Marcos honors Ilokano SAF on Mamasapano anniversary
A fallen cop from the Mamasapano clash got special salutations in Ilocos Norte.
Governor Imee Marcos led a 21-gun salute in the provincial capitol on Monday, Jan. 25, as the country commemorated the first year after the Mamasapano encounter which killed 44 members of the Philippine National Police – Special Action Force.
Of them, a special recognition was given to PO3 Omar Nacionales, who comes from Ilocos Norte. He was hailed as the “courageous son of the North.”
