Balimbing alert: Guv Espino shifts political party in 4 days
Pangasinan Governor Amado T. Espino Jr. has made up his mind to run for Congress in his province’s 5th district but couldn’t decide which political party to join.
Espino initially filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) last October 12 under the National Unity Party (NUP).
On October 16, Espino withdrew his COC and filed a new COC under the Aksyon Demokratiko party.
So what triggered this fickle filing?
Espino is challenging 5th district Rep. Kimi Cojuangco of the Nationalist Peoples Coalition.
Kimi is a close relative of NUP patron Ricky Razon.
