Pampanga Guv Pineda extols employees to work hard or else…

Sep 5, 2015 @ 4:47

Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda has called on the provincial government workers to work harder or face disciplinary actions.

Pineda warned she will not hesitate to introduce drastic measures, such as the “complete overhaul” of the Capitol, to keep all employees in shape.

The governor said she has consulted the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) on how to effectively improve the provincial government’s programs, planning and management.

“I am not satisfied with what we have achieved. We can do more; we can do better if everything is in proper perspective and put in place. Let’s also ask Kapampangans to take a more active role in good governance so we could improve our craft as public servants,” the governor  said in a Sunstar article.

Pineda stressed that if there is a need hire new personnel, who are more and highly qualified to do the job, she will not hesitate to do so just to get better service, results and positive impact.

“We have to restructure the organizational set up of the provincial government through diagnostic approach and if needed, the personnel should undergo a retraining process for effective discharge of their duties and responsibilities,” she pointed out.

She said her administration is ready to institute reforms and change the mindset of the employees and get rid of the stumbling blocks that delay the process in the delivery of programs and services to the Kapampangans.

“We in the provincial government, if need arises, we will make a complete overhaul of the organizational structure and place the personnel where they are most qualified to perform the job,” Pineda pointed out.
