State of calamity looms over Ilocos Norte due to Ineng
Ilocos Norte is to be placed under a state of calamity due to bad weather conditions brought by Typhoon Ineng (Goni).
A post on Governor Imee Marcos’ Twitter account said the provincial council is to make the declaration after 1 p.m.
“Sangguniang Panlalawigan expected to declare State of Calamity for the Province of Ilocos Norte after 1 pm session today,” it said

At least one resident of Ilocos Norte, Herminio Taguyo Jr., was killed in a landslide amid heavy rain from Ineng.
