Coming soon: Memoirs of Gloria Arroyo in the works

Former president and now Pampanga representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has begun writing her memoirs while under hospital detention at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) in Quezon City, one of her lawyers has revealed.
Atty. Ferdinand Topacio said Arroyo is writing her narrative alternately by hand and typewriter since she cannot use laptops, which is among the gadgets prohibited by the authorities.
‘Saka talagang ang editing po niya, sinusulat niya o talagang kina-cut and paste. Pinuputol niya may mga linyang hindi, tapos guguntingin po niya ‘yun at ipi-paste niya sa panibagong piraso ng papel,” he shared.
As expected, Arroyo’s memoirs will include her thoughts and feelings about her arrest and subsequent detention in connection with the plunder case she is facing, Topacio said.
Arroyo is accused of misusing the intelligence funds of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
Several groups and personalities, including Vice President Jejomar Binay and internationally-renowned lawyer Amal Alamuddin-Clooney, have pushed for Arroyo to be placed under house arrest.
However, her camp’s petition regarding the matter has yet to be decided by the Sandiganbayan.
