Teddy Baguilat heartbroken over a book. Here’s why
Ifugao Rep. Teddy Baguilat can’t help but feel down after reading Khaled Hosseini’s bestselling book, A Thousand Splendid Suns.
On his Facebook page, Baguilat described the book as “sad” because of its narration of how women are seen in Afghan society.
“Correct when the review says it will tear one’s heart,” he said.
Despite being an emotionally taxing material to read, Baguilat said he’s still awed by the book because “it makes one admire the human spirit’s indomitable penhcant to endure suffering.”
“And trump in a way that’s poignant. Sniff, sniff,” he added.
