‘Di on the spot! Marcos Jr submits drug test result via abogado
Former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. claimed to have tested negative for illegal drugs in documents submitted by his abogado to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Marcos’ spokesperson, abogado Vic Rodriguez, also submitted copies of his drug test results Tuesday (November 23) to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and office of the Philippine National Police chief.
In a statement, Marcos said he doesn’t feel alluded to by President Rodrigo Duterte’s allegation about a cocaine-using presidential aspirant.
“I really don’t feel that I am the one being alluded to. In spite of that, I believe it is my inherent duty as an aspiring public official to assure my fellow Filipinos that I am against illegal drugs,” he said.
Duterte claimed last week that a presidential aspirant, whom he described as a “weak leader,” was using cocaine. He repeated the allegation Monday (November 22) but did not mention any name.
