Angono Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon looks into national ID delay

Nov 11, 2021 @ 10:02

Angono Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon has been deluged with questions about the delay in the delivery of the national ID.

Calderon herself is no stranger to this problem, as she has yet to get her ID despite being the first to register her biometrics in town.

In a Facebook post, Calderon said she tried to get to the bottom of the matter by meeting with the representative of Philpost in Angono.

She was told that there are several factors that lead to the delay of the printing of the ID, which are beyond the control of Philpost, which acts as the courier.

She also learned that while the Philippine Statistics Authority collects the data, the printing of the IDs is handled by another entity.

Nevertheless, Calderon offered to deploy more people to help deliver the national IDs once these arrive to prevent delays.

The waiting game continues!
