Walang plastikan! Taytay Mayor Joric Gacula starts phasing out single-use plastics
Taytay Mayor Joric Gacula is taking concrete steps to reduce solid waste in his town.
In a Facebook post, Gacula said Taytay would gradually begin phasing out single-use plastic, which is one of the culprits of flooding in town.
Every Wednesday, it would prohibit the use of single-use plastic items in any business or establishment, he said.
In November, the ban would be implemented every Wednesday and Saturday, and in December, the ban would be observed every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
#BestTaytay,” Gacula posted.
