Mayor vows to ‘fight’ cutting of trees for Silang road construction; but trees are already felled

Oct 20, 2021 @ 11:29

Mayor Corie Poblete’s bid to supposedly “fight” the cutting of trees for the construction of Silang Bypass Road Section comes a little bit too late.

In a Facebook post, Poblete said she was “saddened” by the cutting of 68 trees for the road construction.

However, she noted that the said trees are posing risks for motorists in the area.

Nonetheless, the Politiko claimed that she will lead the fight against the cutting of the trees.

But netizens are quick to point out that the mayor’s bid is already futile as the trees are already felled.

Wag kami,” another commenter said.
