Cabuyao Mayor Mel Gecolea offers free flu vaccines to the elderly
Senior citizens are more vulnerable to diseases, and Cabuyao Mayor Mel Gecolea wants to make sure they are also protected against the flu.
In a Facebook post, Gecolea offered free flu vaccines to elderly residents of his city.
He said the City Health Office will visit barangays to offer the flu and pneumococcal vaccines.
The program began on October 8, and on that day alone, 400 elderly residents got jabbed, he said.
He wants this number to increase to make sure senior citizens would have more protection during this pandemic.
Ask your lola and lola to stand by for the flu shots!
#GOCabVax,” Gecolea posted.
