Santa Maria Mayor Cindy Carolino gives thanks for her second life on the 11th year of her bone marrow transplant
Santa Maria Mayor Cindy Carolino faced a daunting challenge 11 years ago when she had to undergo a bone marrow transplant to boost her chances of survival from leukemia.
In a Facebook post, Carolino recalled her ordeal, saying she had a 50/50 chance back then.
She left everything up to the lord, praying for mercy.
11 years later, she is enjoying her second life.
She said she continues to be on her knees and crying her heart out, but this time, it is for thanksgiving for her new life and blessings.
She is grateful for everything!
“October 11 2010 was d day i had d biggest battle of my life, the fight for life itself. It was d day i had my bonemarrow transplant to ensure that i will have a better chance of survival from leukemia, a blood cancer.
It was a 50/50 chances for me, and faced with that adversity, i simply left everything to God n asked Him to grant me wat was best. I was on bended knees,,, crying my heart out for mercy.
That was 11 years ago. And today, i continue to be on bended knees, still crying my heart out, but this time for Thanksgiving. For d Second Life that He has given me, and for d many wonderful things that He continues to bless me with.
YOU alone Lord permit for all things to happen, and to YOU alone Lord will I surrender
Happy Feast Day, Our Lady of d Most Holy Rosary.
#ForeverFAITHFUL,” Carolino posted.
