Take the Delta variant seriously, says Cuenca Mayor Faye Endaya-Barretto
The Delta variant has really shaken things up, and Cuenca Mayor Faye Endaya-Barretto has appealed to her constituents not to brush this aside.
In a Facebook post, Barretto said the Delta variant is not a joke and implored residents of Cuenca to make sure they observe minimum public health standards at all times.
She also reminded them that they should inform the Barangay Health Worker of their condition once they start experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
This would ensure that they and their family members would be given proper medication, she said.
The adage holds true: an ounce or prevention is worth a pound of cure, she added.
Don’t let things get worse before taking action!
“The Delta variant of Covid-19 is not a joke. So please, always observe the minimum publc health standards. It is also important to inform your Barangay Health Worker (BHW) about your health condition once there is an onset of symptom(s) so that proper medication can be given to you or to your family members. Remember, ‘An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,’” Barretto posted.
