Laguna releases P12.5M for barangay health workers’ allowance
Sta. Cruz, Laguna – More than P12 million has been recently released by the provincial government of Laguna to provide the allowance of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) from the month of January to June.
The stipend, worth exactly P12,502,000 was distributed in this town and was led by Provincial Administrator Atty. Dulce Rebanal.
“Kabilang sa prayoridad ni Gob. Ramil Hernandez ang programang pang-kalusugan at kasama nga dito ang pamamahagi ng allowance ng mga BHW,” the city said in a statement.
The allowance was received by the different leaders of each town of Laguna so the BHWs would no longer line up to avoid crowds and curb the spread of COVID-19.
The BHWs serve in various barangays to assist in different health programs especially now under the COVID-19 pandemic where their help is much needed by the communities.
