Tao po! Dasamarinas Mayor Jenny Barzaga launches home vaccination drive for PWDs and the elderly
Dasamarinas Mayor Jenny Barzaga is making sure nobody will be left behind in the city’s vaccination drive, not even the elderly or persons with disabilities.
In a Facebook post, Barzaga said inclusivity is an initiative of her administration and to this end, she has a home vaccination drive for the vulnerable sectors.
Under the program, health officers would visit the residents of bedridden senior citizens and PWDs aged 18 and above.
They will be given the single dose Janssen vaccine, she said.
She has allotted 2,000 does for this drive and will reach out to more people once it gets additional supply, she said.
In her city, everybody is importance in the COVID-19 vaccination drive!
“WE PROTECT THE MOST VULNERABLE because we truly CARE and RESPECT our elderly.
One of the many initiatives by the City Government of Dasmariñas under my leadership is INCLUSIVITY.
We strive to ensure that whatever we do includes everyone, regardless of age, profession, gender and status in life. With this, we started the HOME VACCINATION DRIVE for our fellow Dasmarineños who are differently-abled and bedridden from ages 18 and above (PWDs and senior citizens).
Our Health Officers went to visit their homes and administer the one-shot JANSSEN VACCINE for individuals who do not have the capability to visit the vaccination sites.
We have allotted 2,000 doses for this drive and we aim to reach out to more once we have enough supplies from the National Government.
Onward, Forward to a healthier Dasmariñas!
BAKUNADONG DASMARINEÑO, PROTEKTADO!” Barzaga posted.
