Use your position wisely, Laguna Board Member Jam Agarao tells people in power
A position of public trust is not something to be taken lightly, according to Laguna Board Member Jam Agarao.
In a Facebook post, Agarao shared words of wisdom about being a public official.
She said that a person given a voice and placed in a position to serve based on the public’s trust should use this properly.
If one uses it to foment anger and envy and badmouth others, then this individual is just prioritizing personal interest, not the town or the public’s interest, she said.
If the Lord has given a person the power to serve, then this person shouldn’t pay much attention to fame, power, and personal interests, she added.
God blessed us and people trusted us with the power to serve, so don’t pay much attention to fame, power and personal interests (hindi habang buhay yan).
