Taking care of mental health can change lives, says General Luna Mayor Matt Florido

Oct 22, 2020 @ 9:46

General Luna Mayor Matt Florido is very happy that his town’s mental health program is producing good results and changing lives for the better.

In a Facebook post, Florido said he was touched by the story of a man who used to be kept locked up in a cage because of his mental health issues.

The man received help under the WE CARE program of General Luna, and is now a productive member of society.

The man’s life is returning to normal and he is spending time planting vegetables in his land.

Florido could not help but tear up at the man’s story.

Without the mental health program, he might still be in the cage, the mayor said.

He said he puts much value on the mental health program as it shows the regard that the town has for an individual.

The WE CARE program shoulders all the expenses of patients and their transfer to mental health facilities.

Through this, patients would have nothing to worry about and would only get to focus on getting better.

General Luna takes care of the body and the mind of its people!

Thank you very much sa ating Municipal Health Officer, Dra. ❤❤❤???
