Eric Africa appeals to Lipa residents: Don’t be rude to frontliners!

Mar 26, 2020 @ 8:18

Lipa, Batangas Mayor Eric Africa called on the public to be courteous to workers at the frontlines of addressing the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak in the country despite the enhanced community quarantine.

Africa made the appeal in a Facebook post as he thanked the health workers, police, soldiers and barangay officials who have been working since the quarantine began last week.

He also told the public that frontliners choose to serve despite the risks that come with their jobs.

“Kung hindi man kayo makatulong na materyal, ikabawas na lang sana ang masakit na paratang at pananalita sa inyong kapwa. Wala kang magawa, magdasal,” Africa said.

The mayor said what the frontliners need at this crucial time is the trust, gratitude and respect of the public.
