No ‘monster-in-law’: Ralph Recto shares fond memories of Vilma Santos’ mom
While some spouses jokingly call their mothers-in-law “monster-in-law,” Senator Ralph Recto has nothing but praises for the mother of his wife, Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos.
Recto shared his fond memories of Milagros Tuazon-Santos in his April 2 column for the tabloid Abante since she passed away the day before at the age of 93.
Maaaring itanggi ni Vi iyan, subalit iyan ang totoo,” he said.
The senator said he and Milagros enjoyed a close and good relationship since Santos’ mother always looked out for his welfare.
“Palagi niya akong ipinaghahanda ng mga pagkaing nanggaling Nueva Ecija, ang probinsya ng mga Santos, katulad ng ‘batutay’ o longganisa ng Nueva Ecija,” he said.
In a show of how much he misses his mother-in-law, Recto said he would’ve sent her all her favorite food in heaven if he could.
Mahal ka naming lahat,” he said.
