Dodo Mandanas wants hi-tech way of teaching English expanded in Batangas
Batangas Governor Hermilando “Dodo” Mandanas has thrown his support behind the Department of Education (DepEd) Batangas’ plan to expand a high tech way of teaching English in schools.
Mandanas on Tuesday led the meeting of the Provincial School Board (PSB) to discuss the expansion of the English Computerized Learning Program (ECLP) in Batangas.
ECLP involves the use of software designed to help children improve their skills in writing, speaking and reading in English.
It was first implemented in Batangas in the municipalities of Bauan and Sto. Tomas during school year 2017-2018.
At present, around 29,000 students from the municipalities of Bauan, Sto. Tomas, Lemery and Ibaan benefit from ECLP.
Mandanas welcomed the proposed expansion of the ECLP and vowed to extend all the help that DepEd Batangas needs to implement it.
