Nini Ynares leads turnover of 5-hectare property to Pasig for Rizal HS
The sprawling property where Rizal High School, the largest secondary school in the Philippines, stands is now Pasig’s.
The provincial government of Rizal, led by Governor Rebecca “Nini” Ynares, last week led the signing of a memorandum of agreement for the turnover of a five-hectare property to Pasig for the benefit of Rizal High School.
Joining Ynares at the event were Vice Governor Jun Rey San Juan, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Pasig City Mayor Bobby Eusebio and wife, former City Mayor Maribel, as well as members of the Pasig city council.
Rizal High School, which was established in 1902, was declared as the “Largest Secondary School in the World” in 1993 by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Its alumni include Senators Jovito Salonga, Neptali Gonzales, Rene Saguisag, National Artists Botong Francisco and Maestro Lucio San Pedro, and Former Congressman Frisco San Juan.
