Revilla’s plunder trial suspended until February 15
Former senator Bong Revilla’s plunder trial before the Sandiganbayan is temporarily suspended until the Supreme Court resolves his petition for certiorari.
The Sandiganbayan on January 25 partially granted the Cavite politiko’s motion to suspend trial until February 15.
Revilla earlier filed before the SC a petition for certiorari, with prayers for an injunction, bail, and a setting of oral arguments.
Revilla’s trial will continue if the SC does not issue a Temporary Restraining Order on or before February 15.
The Sandiganbayan First Division earlier denied Revilla’s motion for leave to file a demurrer of evidence.
Revilla’s plunder trial is in connection to the pork barrel scam.
