Yung totoo lang dapat: Teddy Baguilat wants a law versus fake news

Jan 8, 2017 @ 12:21

This politiko is currently scouting for ideas on how best to combat fake news sites. Any ideas?

The inner journalist in Ifugao Rep. Teddy Baguilat, Jr. could not help but be frustrated with the current spate of online fake news sites which supporters of several politikos are reportedly using to take down opposing parties.

Baguilat wants to file a bill to ban fake news sites, particularly after the filing of an Ombudsman complaint alleging that former President Noynoy Aquino, ex-presidential candidate and “Nutrition” Secretary Mar Roxas, and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando Tetangco, Jr. illegally sold gold bar certificates, which was citing a fake central bank circular posted by a fake news portal.

But newsman Teddy Boy Locsin also had other ideas, and slugged it out with Baguilat via Twitter.
