Nueva Vizcaya Vice Guv Galima wants ERA for all provincial gov’t employees to cushion impact of recent disasters
Nueva Vizcaya politikos, led by Vice Governor Lambert Galima, Jr., are urging for the immediate granting of the so-called “economic relief assistance” (ERA) to all provincial government employees to cushion the impact of recent typhoons and the El Niño phenomenon.
Galima said they already asked Governor Carlos Padilla to consider the grant of ERA to all officials and employees, including those covered by contract of service, of the provincial government as a form of relief and rehabilitation assistance following the adverse impact of El Niño and the recent “Karen” and “Lawin” typhoons.
“Most of the workers in the local government are engaged in other sources of income especially in farm and livestock production and livelihood enterprises to augment their meager salaries,” the politiko added.
He said granting of the ERA will not affect the province’s track to achieve all its social and development agenda and at the same time, will not prejudice the delivery of basic services and priority projects intended for the people of Nueva Vizcaya.
