Achieve! PNP declares Bataan drug-free under Guv Abet Garcia
This politiko beat President Rodrigo Duterte into his “three to six months” target.
The local unit of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bataan has declared the province as drug-free as of Oct. 22, 2016, the Manila Bulletin reported. Quoting Bataan Police Director Senior Supt. Benjamin Silo Jr., the local governments were able to extinguish illegal drugs down to the last stash across the province in just over three months.
The declaration, however, will be up for review in Malacañang, and should be up for Duterte’s announcement and commendation shortly after, Silo said.
Governor Abet Garcia earlier said that Bataan is 80% clean and sober as of mid-September. Congrats!
