Kontra-kalamidad: Espino vows to beef up Pangasinan’s disaster response capabilities
Pangasinan Governor Amado Espino III has pledged to beef up the province’s disaster response capabilities.
This is to ensure that the province has sufficient capability to ensure the safety of Pangasinenses during times of calamities.
Espino made this statement before Army reservists and barangay patrol action teams (BPATs) and village leaders during a seminar entitled “Understanding Disaster Management and Climate Change” in Alaminos City last Sept. 26.
In the same vein, he also recognized the vital contributions of army reservists, BPATs and village leaders in disaster prevention and disaster response.
Espino said the disaster management and climate change seminar was very timely as the country has been recently beset by series of destructive typhoons.
