Ex-solon Valencia posts P210k bail bond in pork scam cases
Former Oriental Mindoro First District Representative Rodolfo Valencia has posted a P210,000 bail bond over the pork barrel scam cases he has been charged in.
The former politiko was at the Sandiganbayan Seventh Division on June 17, 2016 to post a P30,000 bail for each of the three counts of graft and P40,000 for each of the three counts of malversation of public funds.
Valencia posted the bail bond after the anti-graft court issued last April 2016 warrants of arrest against him and his co-accused.
The former representative is accused of having received kickbacks from Napoles in exchange for choosing her Masaganang Ani Para sa Magsasaka Foundation Inc. (MAMFI) to implement projects funded by his Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF).
The former politiko was able to release a total of P6.5 million of his PDAF to MAMFI from 2008 to 2009 but the projects allegedly turned out to have been non-existent.
