Chavit: Bongbong better off running alone

Dec 2, 2015 @ 11:39

Former Ilocos Sur. Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson believes Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos is a strong candidate for vice president but said the senator has more chances of getting more votes if he is not running with Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago.

As a fellow Ilocano, Singson has declared his support to Marcos…with reservations.
“Mas marami siyang boto kung siya lang,” the Ilocos Sur’s political kingpin quipped in an interview with GMA News.

Marcos is running for vice president in tandem with Santiago in the 2016 elections.
Singson said Marcos is the “best vice president”.

“Gusto ko, siya lang, walang presidente… Para mapasyalan namin lahat ng kandidato sa presidente,” Singson said.

Singson, it seems, has not moved on yet from the attacks made against him by Santiago in 2010.
The senator has tagged Singson as one of the local officials receiving more than P300 million a year from illegal gambling operations.

Santiago’s revelations prompted the Senate Blue Ribbon committee to conduct an inquiry.
