Duterte allows INC gathering at Davao Hall of Justice but on one condition
Members of the Iglesia ni Cristo can hold their protest in front of the Davao City Hall of Justice on Monday, Aug. 31, but on one condition.
Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said Sunday night, Aug. 30, the INC should make sure the public will have “equal right” to the court and the terminal near the hall of justice.
“For as long as the public is also given equal right to the court and the terminal, if that is assured, then the members of the Iglesia ni Cristo can hold their rally in front of the Hall of Justice,” he said on his Facebook page.
Davao City is one of the areas the INC is to hold “peaceful” protests on Monday, days after bottling up a part of EDSA in Mandaluyong City with its members’ protest.
The mayor said he will also mobilize the local police and military units “so they can arrange for an orderly assembly.”
